Divination

Different methods of Divination

There are many different ways you could develop your spiritual gifts. One of the more known ways is through Divination. Some people try multiple ways but tend to return to the one they are most comfortable with for me that is my tarot and oracle cards. But not everyone connects to cards like I do which is why I explain several types of divination on this page and hope it helps you find the right one.

Developing your psychic ability,

When you enter the Spiritual world you will meet several individuals who have psychic abilities. A gift to know and sense things without receiving information. This gift is based out of our intuition and can be developed for I believe ever human being has a certain amount of intuition hidden within their soul but not everyone decides to access these gifts.

Automatic Writing,

One of the more known ways to communicate with the spirit world is through automatic writing and/or channeling. This is a method in which the writer holds the pen onto a piece of paper and allows the messages to flow. There are those who believe they have channeled messages from famous deceased people such as authors, composers, musicians etc.

As with any form of divination, practice makes perfect. For more information click here.

Cardreading

To people unfamiliar with divination, a cardreader may seem like a fortuneteller who is sharing your future with you. This is not the case!! The cards simply offer you guidance to possibilities. The best way to think of tarot is as a tool for self- awareness.

Numerology

Many Pagan spiritual traditions incorporate the practice of numerology. The basic principles of numerology hold that numbers have a great deal of spiritual and magical significance. Some numbers are more potent and powerful than others, and combinations of numbers can be developed for magical use. In addition to magical correspondences, numbers also tie into planetary significance

Osteomancy

The use of bones for divination, sometimes called osteomancy, has been performed by cultures the world over for thousands of years. While there are a number of different methods, the purpose is typically the same: to foretell the future utilizing the messages displayed in the bones.

More on this divination coming in the near future.

Pendulum

A pendulum is one of the  easiest forms of divination. It’s a matter of asking simple yes/no questions.  You can purchase pendulums commercially, or make one of your own. Typically, most people use a crystal or stone, but you can use any object that’s got a bit of weight to it. There are several different ways you can use a pendulum for divination. The trick is to learn to ask the right questions.

In the Balkans and Turkey, a favorite pass time is drinking Turkish coffee followed by having your fortune told from the leftover coffee grounds in the cup.
